every other week, a little escape from everyday life awaits you here. this could be a cozy café in kreuzberg, a pop-up store in neukölln or a weekend trip to brandenburg. all recommendations are based on my own research and have been carefully selected for you, while encouraging myself to the same challenge every time: to stay as far away from the mainstream as possible.

what sounds like the title of a new volume of lord of the rings, is in fact a real gem for a weekend getaway.
elf am see is a small area of vacation homes located on lübbesee in the brandenburg region. surrounded by high trees, blue water and singing birds, you can't help but zoom out and enjoy the here and now. what's best about it: it's just a 1,5 hour drive from berlin.
in addition to the beautiful surroundings, the interior of the houses is no less impressive: each of them is equipped with two terraces that invite you to sunbathe or barbecue. inside, the wood has been left visible and blends in perfectly with nature, providing pleasant acoustics and a great indoor climate.
my personal highlight was the room on the top floor, where the panoramic window gives you a direct view of the water – either from the cozy windowseat or directly from your bed. dreamy, right?
